We hope everyone had a lovely Mum’s Day in May!
The beginning of June marks the start of Winter, and the end of June marks the close of yet another financial year. Guess it feels like yearly milestones are reached so fast because the deadline seems to roll around so quick each month! And as we entered the second part of the year, it had to happen, Victoria locks down once again – racing straight past the trifecta and into a quadrella – for the fourth time!
It has been quite intense this last year and a half, with the lockdown situations forcing so many people to stay at home. A knock on effect has been a marked increase in online shopping resulting in a higher demand of our postal service. We would like to take this opportunity to greatly thank Kay, and all of the deliverers, at the Tamborine Post Office who have had to deal with ‘mountains’ of parcels each day. We would also like to acknowledge Sandy the Coffee Lady (at the rear of the ‘village hub’ near the Grunt Fitness gym) who wonderfully ‘showered’ Kay with free coffees for a week after she suffered an apparent abusive attack from an irate customer. Thanks guys, you rock!
And finally, the consensus is in, after a bit of commentary about how many photos we have of our beloved Division 2 Councillor in the magazine, we have decided we need more (haha) – gotta keep the magazine nice and thick after all!
So see you at the many, many wonderful events and happenings in our region – just so grateful we can actually go out and attend them in this warm and welcoming (if not closed off) state of ours. Stay safe
