GCBF Round 103 Successful For Local Groups!
In Round 103, community groups in the Scenic Rim Electorate will share in over $300,000 of grant funding awarded through the Gambling Community Benefit Fund (GCBF).
Over 15 million dollars has now been allocated to community groups in the Scenic Rim Electorate through various grants since State Member, Jon Krause, was elected in 2012.
In the Tamborine Mountain, Canungra and surrounding districts, nine groups will share in over $190,000 in funding and Mr Krause said the money would make a huge difference to the successful local groups.
“This terrific outcome would not have occurred without many hardworking volunteers giving their time and energy to complete the grant application process. It is wonderful to see that these community groups will be able to install facilities and purchase equipment to help them maintain their services.”
“I commend these groups for the wonderful work they do and encourage other community groups to apply for Round 105 of the GCBF. Not-for-profit groups can apply for grants from $500 to $35,000 – applications are open now and close on 30 April 2020,” Mr Krause said.
