Struggling Show Families Band Together

Locals Enjoyed Showtime Fun At Qld State Fair

Due to the current pandemic and subsequent cancellation of the Ekka, local shows in the area such as Beaudesert and Canungra, as well as the Royal Adelaide Show, show families and their industry have been doing al they can do to survive.

Last month, show families banded together to put on the QLD State Fair at Hills International College in Jimboomba in order to help their struggling industry in these difficult and unknowing times.

With a ‘catalogue’ of rides that you would normally find at the Ekka, such as The Beast, Power Surge, Cliff Hanger, Cyber Party, The Orbiter, a Bungee Trampoline, and The Wheel of Oz (which is Australia’s largest travelling Ferris Wheel) as well as a great selection of kiddies rides, they set up to entertain local families with a whole lot of fun over two weekends.

The ‘Twister Ride’ was even on offer, brand new to Australia it was set to make its debut at the Ekka!

For only a $2 entry, visitors to the fair could enjoy family favourite games, dagwood dogs, waffles, fairy floss, and a great selection of showbags including everyone’s favourite the Bertie Beetle Bag! The fireworks both Saturday nights meant there was something fun for everyone!
