To Enable Continuation Of Community Work
The Tamborine Lions recently received a $5,000 grant under the federally funded Volunteers Grant Program. Federal Minister for Wright Scott Buchholz MP visited the Lions at their den and made the following comments:
“It’s always a great pleasure to be with the Tamborine Lions, as a team they do wonderful work in the community. I am really happy to see the $5,000 grant go towards such a good cause, supporting our local volunteers.” Scott said, “As a result of Coronavirus restrictions, their fund raising efforts have been hindered and so have all of their social and community activities. But the team are soldiering on and doing all they can to continue to contribute and make a difference. They have built a really strong team here and it is a great pleasure to support them!” The Lions will use the funds to enable the continuation of their community work within the local area.
