“Doing Things A Better Way”

Living The Sustainable Dream In Tamborine

Members of the Tamborine Mountain Combined Probus Club were delighted to welcome Eddie and Yana Cheng with their son Aaron to their meeting for September to speak about their journey into sustainable self-sufficiency – seeking a more rewarding and healthy lifestyle.

Yana is a former Yoga teacher from Russia, where self-sufficiency is the norm, and Eddie was an entrepreneur from China, with a background in the natural health industry.

Three years ago they decided to live their dream, and purchased a homestead and land in Tamborine where they set to work. Their journey is one of hard work, dedication, and a slow progress as they transform their homestead into a sustainable way of life. Belief in “doing things a better way” underpins everything they do.

The photo shows Eddie talking about how they have gone about incorporating permaculture into the sustainable development of the Homestead.
