Japanese Farmstay Program

Dear Prospective Farm Family,

Thank you for your interest in our Japanese Farmstay Program. Our company headed by Stephen and Vicki is
based in Melbourne and co-ordinates Farmstays in Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia and
Western Australia. Downunder Farmstays has been bringing Japanese students to Australia since 1994 and we
pride ourselves on being a professional, well organised and very approachable company.

Farm hosting is a casual and rewarding experience for both students and families alike. Besides the financial
reward that can be gained through hosting, you also have the opportunity to forge lifelong relationships with your
international guests.

Farmstay bookings are irregular and seasonal throughout the year. Students are aged between 13-17 years old
and farms can be allocated between 2-6 students depending on school requirements, number of beds available
and transport suitability. Students stay an average of 2 nights and are with you during their entire farmstay.
